Limber Lounge: Ecstatic Dance Party
9/29, *10/14, 11/3, 12/1
7:30-9:30pm
*10/14 will be a free mini ecstatic dance during our 14th anniversary celebration
Dance like no one’s watching…
Come get ecstatic at the Limber Lounge Conscious Dance Party! Ecstatic Dance is a free form of dance where we let go of judgement and
free our bodies to move, open our minds, and connect with our most joyous soul. Held in a safe and sacred container, ecstatic dance allows us to access a natural state of flow and awareness, tapping into states of happiness and ecstasy through music and body movement. This conscious dance party will energize you from the inside out, come shake what your mama gave you, and awaken everything that needs to get moving and grooving.
What to expect:
We will start our dance journey with a brief opening circle to help ground and set an intention for our time together. Once the music starts, the only rules are no talking on the dance floor, and to gain consent with someone before dancing with them. Other than that, the dance floor is a free zone for authentic self-expression; there is no choreography at ecstatic dance, just listen to the music and your body and move in whatever way feels good! We will take some time at the end of the dance to wind down and relax our bodies, then finish our time together with a closing circle to seal the container.
*Limber Lounge is an alcohol and drug free space
**Use your class pass or pay $15-$20 at the door.

Mercy B

Mercy (RYT200) found yoga in 2000, and soon thereafter met her teacher Sarah Powers, who introduced her to Yin Yoga and Buddhist meditation. She completed her first teacher training with Powers and Paul Grilley in 2004, and soon after began teaching Yin Yoga at Eight Limbs Yoga on Capitol Hill. Since then, she has birthed and homeschooled two daughters, moved back and forth across the country, worked in non-profit Community Outreach, all the while maintaining her commitment to Awakening through breath, mind, and body practices, including Ecstatic Dance which she fell in love with along the way. Mercy recently completed her second teacher training with Sarah Powers in 2021, and is excited to share the gifts of Yin Yoga and meditation with the Limber community. In addition to yoga and meditation, Mercy practices Internal Family Systems (IFS), a psycho-spiritual therapeutic modality.
