LimBARRE: A safe &  low impact workout

Mondays

6:00-7:00pm

LimBARRE class is a fusion between barre-inspired exercises, yoga, Pilates and traditional strength training that will leave you feeling taller, more balanced and centered. Just 60  minutes, this class will build core strength, increase muscle endurance and energize your body. The secret lies in the movements - isometric holds to secure proper posture and maximize your forthcoming efforts, followed by a strategic combination of small and large ranges of motion to burn out your muscles and rev up your metabolism. It’s the perfect marriage between low impact and high intensity, easy on the joints but effective in transforming your body. A workout anyone can do, it’s great for prenatal + postpartum mama’s or those seeking the perfect compliment to their yoga and/or a heavier strength training practice.

You’ll leave class feeling more connected and energized, that’s a promise!

Who Can Participate?
LimBARRE was designed to meet all fitness levels and experience, along with all age ranges. It’s great for those seeking to add a strength element to their yoga practice or a low impact + high-rep option to their heavier strength training. Created especially to be safe for mama’s - pregnant and postpartum, we’ll meet you where you’re at and support you in feeling your best!

First Time Clients: Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first class, to provide ample time to fill out a client waiver, take a tour and meet your instructor.

Injured Clients: It is recommended that clients with injuries consult with their doctors before beginning any new exercise method. Also, please always speak with your Barre instructor about your injury before class begins. This class is not about “pushing through” to get results. It’s about working smarter and learning to actively use your muscles to support your joints and a strong posture.

Prenatal Clients: All the exercises performed in class are either safe for pregnant mama’s or modifications will be given. Your instructor will also adjust postures and exercises based on what feels good in your body as you move along in your pregnancy and your body’s needs change. Be sure to always check with your doctor, but know this class was designed to support your changing body and keep you feeling strong.

Postnatal Clients: Barre is a great low impact option for postpartum mama’s, but be sure to check with your doctor before returning to any form of physical activity. It’s imperative to let your instructor know if you have any rectus diastasis (separation of the abdominal wall) and how far along you are in your postpartum journey. The goal of LimBARRE classes is to help you build back a strong foundation to best support your body as it heals and as your ligaments firm up (which can take months - and if you’re breastfeeding, begins to happen as you transition to solids, more when your menstrual cycle returns and when you eventually ween). Please see this blog for more information about getting your pre-baby body "back":
