Class Descriptions

All Levels :  A class that accommodates the beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioner. This class  encourages students to be mindful and  work at their own pace. You will be guided through yoga postures and breath work with options to increase or decrease challenge. We hope that you will walk away with a greater knowledge of   the practice of yoga.
All Levels & Meditation: In these class offerings, we’ll incorporate yoga poses to prepare the body for meditation, breathing exercises to deepen your body to breath connection, and seated meditation to cultivate presence of the mind to the moment. Wherever you are in your experience of being embodied, this class will guide you towards mindfulness, compassion, and kindness for yourself and others. Meditation is the heart of yoga.
Beginner:  Cultivate strength and flexibility through the practice of foundational yoga poses.  Learn to breathe with awareness and move with mindfulness.
Empower Flow:  This flow class moves at a steady pace and focuses on building strength and confidence in any level practitioner by offering options to modify or intensify a pose.  Be ready for a creative  and safe sequence that has a mix of vinyasa flow, strengthening, core work, breath connection and time to unwind.  Come with a curious mind, an "I can" attitude and you will leave feeling accomplished and centered.
Family Yoga:  A yoga class for the whole family. Learn postures, breath awareness, and creative play through movement and relaxation. You will receive the physical and mental benefits of a mindful yoga practice together as a family!
Ages 3-17 (classes are split up into age groups 3-7yrs, 8-11yrs, 12-17yrs plus adults)
Gentle:  Gentle yoga is a class specifically fork anyone wanting to practice yoga at a slower pace, or for those students who are recovering from injuries.  Props, including blocks, blankets, belts, the wall and chairs are an integral part of the class.  This is a practice to love and embrace our bodies right where they are.  No experience necessary
Limber Babies:  A yoga class for you and your baby.  Connect with your new body, your mind, and your baby through postures that will strengthen, increase flexibility, and well being.  In every class we will spend time on shoulders, back, core, and breath connection.  This class offers you a safe space to share about your discoveries, your challenges and honors the importance of self-care.  Your baby will enjoy being with others and benefit watching your take care of you and in turn taking care of them.(Newborn to 18mos.)
Macks Energy Bootcamp: The ultimate fusion class to boost your energy and improve performance with one main objective: to connect deeper and be more in tune with a body you feel {damn} good in. The class mashes mobility (to open & release elements that restrict movement & impede performance), blended interval training (to maximize aerobic & muscle gains effectively in the same workout) and fatigue-resistance training (to fine-tune the endurance in and your connection to your powerhouse core & hip muscles).
Expect an uplifting, all-levels, full body workout that’ll leave you with good vibes all day. And please note: for every class, you’ll need to bring your own set of medium weight dumbbells.

Mat Pilates: This all levels mat-based pilates class will increase your core strength, postural alignment, flexibility, balance and stability in a full body workout  based on the exercises and breath work from the essential and intermediate Pilates repertoire.  In addition to modifications that can both increase and decrease challenge, we will use bands, weights, and balls to offer variety.  Through articulated muscular and imagery rich cuing, you will increase your body awareness and gain a greater understanding of deep core engagement, proper biomechanics and muscular recruitment allowing one to decrease tightness and tension and increase the strength of our “sleepier” muscles.  This multi-level mat-based pilates class is sure to offer benefits to all movers whether you’re postpartum, recovering from injury, or an experienced athlete.
Prenatal: Pregnancy is another journey in life and one that shows us how strong our bodies are and offers a woman the opportunity to nurture, slow down and to consciously welcome a new life.  Prenatal yoga offers postures to strengthen, to alleviate discomforts in low back, pelvis,  neck and shoulders, and positions that will help in labor too. Prenatal yoga is not just an adaptation of your usual yoga practice, it is a place to connect to your child, to your breath, to other women, and  your power to birth with knowledge and confidence.
Restorative: Restorative poses are adaptations of poses fully supported by props to create a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing. They balance the nervous system and facilitate healing and awareness. These poses are easily adapted for all levels and all bodies and are often used therapeutically.
Slow Flow: In this dynamic practice we will use breath to move mindfully through a flowing sequence of postures (asanas), transitioning with intention, strengthening our ability to be present. Through this slow, focused movement we are able to isolate our effort, creating balance from the inside out. This is an all-levels class, and btw - slow does not mean easy!
Rise & Flow: The best way to start the day! An energizing practice to get you going, tuned in to your body, and focused for a beautiful day.  Learn to stretch with alignment principles and your breath ever present. This all levels class incorporates poses to build strength and balance, peace within the body and space within the heart and mind.
